Registration Details: Bring Cash or Check (payable to WCYFCA). Cheerleader must be present to be registered. At registration your child is fitted for their uniform which includes skirt, top, bloomers, and pom poms.
Parent Questions and Answers:
Q: When do I know what team my child will cheer for?
A: Coaches will contact cheerleaders the week after the draft. Preferences are given to siblings. We also make every effort to keep friends on the same squad if listed on form. This however is not guaranteed.
Q: When are practices scheduled?
A: Be prepared to have your child at practice 2-3 times per week. They are scheduled by the coach therefore the exact practice schedule is provided by your coach.
Q: When do games start?
A: Typically games begin the week after Labor Day however not listed at this time. Game schedule will be distributed by the WCYFCA board to the Coaching Staff. It will also be published on the website as well as facebook.
Q: What do we keep at the end of the season?
A: Uniform and Pom Poms
Q: What do we need to provide as parents?
A: Aside from the registration fee which covers liability insurance, field usage fees, uniforms, and equipment costs the parents are responsible for adequate foot coverage (cheer shoes not required but recommended), any after season party expenses (determined by the team), and donations for the fundraising basket (raffled off after jamboree).
Q: Are trophies presented at the end of season?
A: Trophies are determined by the team. Coach or Team mom will present ideas and suggestions to decide what award recognition the player will receive. Trophies are provided to the squad of the runner up and Superbowl football winners.
Q: Does the cheer leading squad have pictures taken?
A: Pictures are coordinated by the Team. The Coach or Team mom will determine and discuss with parents.
